SAFE FIREARMS HANDLING

• MUZZLE: Always keep muzzle pointed in a safe direction (i.e. downrange).
• FINGER: Keep finger off trigger until ready to fire (i.e. when pointed at the target).
• AMMO: Keep gun unloaded until ready to use (i.e. the range is "hot").

REMINDERS

• Do not shoot the target frames or numbers. Keep your shots in the target backing boards. Mount your targets low enough to avoid hitting the frames.

• Shoot only approved targets such that all rounds hit the backstop directly. Do not shoot things sittin on the ground. Ricochets are bad.

• Don't shoot the portable barriers. They are not targets. They are concealment simulators.

• Replace the backing boards if they're shot up. If it's hard to hang a target on one, then do it — no need to ask — there are new boards, hammer & nails in the range shed. This applies especially to you rapid-fire shooters. Put the shot-up backing boards in the landfill on the trap tange or beyond the 10-yd range.

• Police your brass. Pick up your empty cases and dump them in the bins provided. It's okay to leave .22 rimfire.

• Put paper trash in the the covered trash bins. If you feel up to it, burn a binful in the barrel burner near the shed. There's also some firewood by the shed to help keep warm.

• Take garbage and unburnable trash home.

• ALL range users must sign in & out at the gate, including guest names.

• Double-check the locks on the shed and the gate, and never leave the combination unspun on an open lock.

• Don't leave personal items in the shed.

• Minors must always be under the direct supervision of an adult, and pets must be on a leash.

AUTHORIZED RANGE USERS

• Club members who are also NRA members.

• Guests under the supervision of a club/NRA member.

• Shooters must be in legal posession of their firearms.

• Unauthorized range users may be considered trespassers.

GUESTS

• Guests are welcome when in the company of a club member.

• Members are responsible for their guests at all times.

• Never give out the gate combo.
