The Whispering Pines Police Department held their Christmas Party on Dec. 10th. At this event Chief Domonic Campbell presented the Chief's Award to Gary Leopper.
Mr. Leopper is the president of the Moore County Wildlife and Conservation Club which is located on Camp Easter Road in Carthage.
In presenting the award, Chief Domonic Campbell stated: "Mr. Leopper has gone above and beyond to assist the Whispering Pines Police Department with our firearms qualifications at the club's range and also helps out during our firearms qualifications by cooking food our deparment provides while the officers are shooting on the range. We felt Gary Leopper certainly was very deserving to be awarded the Police Department's Chief's Award."
The Chief's Award is awarded annually to one who exemplifies the highest standards of service to the community and the Whispering Pines Police Dept. by virtue of diligience, dedication, and character.
