Course of Fire. This match is divided into five stages for a total of 42 shots (35 shots for 5-shot revolvers) fired at 7, 10, and 25 yards on three D-1 targets; double-tap, draw from holster.

 

Stage 1. 7 yards – 2.5 seconds for each of three strings. 2 shots per string, on one each of three targets per string. (5 shots for 5-shot revolvers. Score multiplied by 1.2).

 

Stage 2. 7 yards – 5 seconds for 6 shots (4.5 seconds for 5 shots), 2 shots at each of 3 targets (5 shots for 5-shot revolvers. Score multiplied by 1.2).

 

Stage 3. 7 yards – 6 seconds for 6 shots (5.5 seconds for 5 shots), 2 shots at each of three targets using strong hand only (5 shots for 5-shot revolvers. Score multiplied by 1.2).

 

Stage 4. 10 yards – 18 seconds, 12 shots, 2 shots at each of three targets, reload, then fire 2 shots on same three targets using weak hand only. (for 5 shot revolvers, 10 shots in 17 seconds with score on Stage 4 multiplied by 1.2)

 

Stage 5. 25 yards – 2 x 10 second strings, 2 x 6 shots, 2 shots at each of three targets from right side of barricade- Stop, thenreload and on command repeat procedure from left side of barricade. (for 5 shot snub-nosed revolvers 5 shots in 9.5 seconds with score on Stage 5 multiplied by 1.2). Note:  Feet may not touch ground outside edge of barricade.

 

Coordinating Instructions:  The match is open to centerfire pistols, 9mm and above, of traditional design. This match requires Tyro Action Pistol experience.

• Range Safety Briefing given at 1:45 PM, Match begins at 2:00 PM at the 25-yard range.

• Match Fee:  Member Fee - $5.00; Guest Fee - $10.00.

• Every shooter must have a holster suitable for safely drawing the pistol, firing, and then returning the pistol to the holster while on the firing line.

• Every shooter must have some means of conducting a reload (either a magazine or a speed loader) during stage 4 within the time limit.

• Every shooter must have a minimum of 42 rounds of ammunition to complete the course of fire (35 rounds for 5-shot revolvers).
